About TG
TG took up the guitar at age eight and a half with lessons given by guitar instructor, C.D.”Corky” Chilton, on Fugate Rd, in Roanoke, Virginia.
Shortly thereafter he agreed to switching to the electric bass in the seventh grade when forming a trio with guitarist, Everett Faulkner. Soon they were playing at several school functions and end of school year celebrations in the Fuller’s backyard, which was right next door to Patrick Henry High. (If any readers remember any of those performances, please comment.)
The Catcus Joe Show, a local live tv program that aired cartoons and various talent.
Drummer friend, David Elliott at the Wasena grade school, came up with the idea to perform on this program. It was after that live television broadcast that TG knew playing music was going to be his on going interest.
